What is Reiki?
Reiki (Ray-Key) is an almost century old Japanese relaxation & healing technique that works with the energies in and around your body.
Reiki helps return your energy flow to harmony, creating a state of peacefulness & relaxation. Relaxation supports our bodies natural ability to heal, both physically & emotionally. Physically, when the body is relaxed, your body begins to work on itself to foster healing. Emotionally, your mind may begin to loosen up stuck and unprocessed emotions in a gentle yet powerful way. When the mind and body are working together, you just feel better.
Is Reiki right for me?
Many of us are stressed today. Stress from our jobs, our thoughts, inadequate sleep or maybe just our way of living. Maybe you are helping a sick or aging loved one. Perhaps you say “yes” to things you would rather not do. Whatever the case may be, many today are running on very low, unbalanced energy.
Also, over 60 hospitals in the U.S. are using Reiki alongside conventional medicine to help those suffering from chronic conditions. Many cancer patients report a lessening of their side effects after chemotherapy. If you are under the care of a doctor, Reiki can help alongside your other medical wellness practices.
What can I expect during a Reiki?
The client relaxes on my massage table, fully clothed (removing only your shoes). I ask that we both wear a mask. I will make sure you are as comfortable as possible, play some relaxing music and allow the energy to flow. Reiki can be performed with or without touch for those who are uncomfortable with touch. During Covid, I recommend, without touch. I will be following CDC guidelines & stringently sanitizing myself and my space.
